FOXTAIL. Ceratophyllum demersum, perennial plant of the grass family, with articulated root, stem of 30 to 80 cm, flat, linear and lanceolate leaves, and flowers in cylindrical tirso with long and parallel edges, resembling the tail of a fox. It is an aquatic plant widely used in the design of parks and public places. It is seen in tropical and temperate regions.
